Wavefunction Collapse
Wavefunction Collapse. The instantaneous, irreversible transition from superposition to eigenstate upon measurement. The system evolves unitarily under the Schrödinger equation until a measurement interaction occurs, at which point the wavefunction projects onto a single eigenstate. Key properties: (1) instantaneous — no gradual transition, (2) irreversible — the original superposition cannot be recovered, (3) non-local — entangled subsystems collapse simultaneously, (4) qualitative regime change — from unitary Schrödinger evolution to Born Rule probabilities, (5) information is gained (definite eigenvalue) but freedom is lost (superposition destroyed).

The Fall (Genesis 3:6-7)
The Fall. Genesis 3:6-7 — "She took of its fruit and ate, and she also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate. Then the eyes of both were opened." The collapse event of the moral universe. Shared Structure: Both describe a single event that is instantaneous (no gradual transition), irreversible (no return to the prior state), non-local (entangled systems collapse together), regime-changing (the governing dynamics shift qualitatively), and information-altering (something is gained but something irreplaceable is lost).
What Is NOT Claimed
The Fall is not literally a quantum measurement. Adam and Eve are not literally wavefunctions. The claim is structural: the same five-property architecture governs both events because both are manifestations of the same substrate operating at different scales — one physical, one moral.

Can the theology narrative be separated from the physics structure? NO. The mapping works across all five properties simultaneously. Remove one property from either domain and the other domain predicts its absence — proving structural coupling, not loose analogy.

If collapse is non-local, then the Fall must affect all entangled parties simultaneously. Genesis 3:7 confirms: "the eyes of both were opened" — not sequentially, but together. Federal headship (Romans 5:12) extends this: Adam's collapse is humanity's collapse, just as measuring one entangled particle determines the state of all entangled partners.

If the Fall produces irreversible knowledge gain at the cost of innocence, then collapse must produce irreversible information gain at the cost of quantum freedom.
