Relationship is the reference frame. Just as time dilation depends on relative motion, meaning dilation depends on relational proximity. There is no absolute perspective.
Dual Projection
General Relativity
- • No absolute reference frame
- • Spacetime curves with mass
- • Time depends on position
- • All motion is relative
Relational Ontology
- • No isolated observer
- • Meaning curves with connection
- • Experience depends on context
- • All identity is relational
The Story
"I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine."
— Song of Solomon 6:3
Einstein's revolution: there is no God's-eye view. Physics depends on your reference frame. The same event looks different to observers in different states of motion.
The relational revolution: there is no isolated self. Meaning depends on your relational frame. The same experience means something different to persons in different states of connection.
Time dilation: clocks tick slower in strong gravitational fields. Meaning dilation: significance concentrates in strong relational fields. The closer the bond, the richer the experience.
Five Axioms
1. No Isolated Observer
Pure individualism is epistemologically false. All knowing happens in context.
2. Meaning is Frame-Dependent
Events have no intrinsic meaning; meaning emerges from relational context.
3. Relational Distance Dilates Significance
The further from relationship, the thinner the meaning. Isolation is meaning-light.
4. All Frames are Valid
No single perspective holds absolute truth. Wisdom requires multiple viewpoints.
5. Conjugate to Meaning [R,M]
Relationship gives meaning its frame; meaning gives relationship its content.
Conjugate Pair: R ↔ M
