Particles obey math. Math doesn't obey particles.So where was the math before humans existed to write it down?
The sun has been burning for 4.6 billion years. Not randomly. Not chaotically. Burning according to precise nuclear physics — hydrogen fusing into helium at exact rates, following exact equations, releasing exact amounts of energy.
Einstein wrote that equation in 1905. But the sun was using it for 4.6 billion years before Einstein was born.
The inverse-square law governed gravity for 13.8 billion years before Newton sat under a tree. Maxwell's equations described electromagnetic waves for the entire history of starlight before Maxwell formalized them in 1865. The fine structure constant (α ≈ 1/137) has been governing every atomic interaction since the first atoms formed — roughly 380,000 years after the Big Bang.
Here's the question nobody asks:
Where was the equation?
The Elimination
There are only four possible answers. Three of them fail.
The math can't be "in" matter because matter follows the math. Particles don't decide to obey the inverse-square law — they have no choice. The law is prior to and independent of the matter it governs. You can destroy every particle in the universe and the mathematical relationships still hold.
Human minds didn't exist for the first 13.8 billion years. The math was operative the entire time. Humans didn't invent E = mc² — they discovered it. The equation was already governing nuclear fusion in every star in the observable universe. Saying math is "just a human construct" requires you to explain who was running the construct before humans existed.
If the math exists "nowhere," then it has no causal power. But it demonstrably governs every physical interaction in the universe. Something that governs all of reality cannot be nothing. If it's nowhere, then the sun is performing nuclear fusion according to... nothing. That's not an explanation — it's a refusal to explain.
The mathematical structure that governs the universe exists in a substrate that precedes matter, precedes human consciousness, and precedes the universe itself. This substrate is necessarily immaterial (not in matter), necessarily eternal (predates everything), and necessarily rational (it IS the mathematical order).

What This Proves
The mathematical structure of reality is not invented — it is discovered. It exists independently of both matter and mind. It governs all physical reality. It is eternal (predating the universe). It is immaterial (not located in any physical substance). It is rational (it IS logical structure).
These are not theological conclusions smuggled in. These are direct logical consequences of the observation that particles obey math, and math doesn't obey particles.
The killer sentence:
"The universe didn't wait for Newton to invent gravity. It was already using the inverse-square law for 13 billion years. The math was THERE. Governing. Structuring. Before any human mind existed to 'invent' it."
John 1:1 says: "In the beginning was the Logos." Logos — the Greek word for rational order, structure, logic, word. The verse doesn't say "In the beginning God created rational order." It says rational order was already there. It was WITH God. It WAS God.
Physics arrived at the same conclusion 2,000 years later by a completely different route.
