Faith is superposition. Holding contradictory possibilities in coherence until reality resolves. Not ignoranceactive commitment in uncertainty.
Dual Projection
Quantum Superposition
- System holds multiple states
- Measurement collapses wavefunction
- Uncertainty is fundamental
- Observation affects observed
Faith / Pistis
- Holds multiple futures possible
- Action collapses possibility
- Uncertainty is unavoidable
- Commitment shapes outcome
The Story
"Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see."
 Hebrews 11:1
Quantum mechanics says: particles exist in superpositionmultiple states at onceuntil observed. The universe is probabilistic at its foundation.
Faith says: we exist in superpositionmultiple possible futuresuntil we choose. Life is probabilistic until committed.
The measurement problem: observation collapses the wavefunction. The faith problem: commitment collapses possibility into actuality. You don't know until you leap.
Five Axioms
1. Faith Holds Superposition
Maintains multiple possible futures in coherence. Not premature collapse into cynicism or naivety.
2. Commitment Collapses Possibility
Action is measurement. You don't know if the rope holds until you swing.
3. Faith is Not Certainty
Certainty is classical. Faith is quantumactive engagement with uncertainty.
4. Faith Affects Outcome
Observer effect: the act of faith changes what is observed. Hope is causal.
5. Conjugate to Grace [Q,G]
Faith without grace is willpower; grace without faith is wasted gift.
